Overview
The high speed multi-channel framing camera, XXRapidFrame, consists of a single optical input, an image splitter unit and up to eight individually controllable intensified CCD channels.
Ultra high speed framing camera
The XXRapidFrame is available based on the 4 Quik E ICCD camera or on the 4 Picos ICCD camera with the shortest gating time down to 1.2ns and 0.2ns, respectively. The multi-channel framing camera is able to record up to eight images with a interframing delay down to 10ps (4 Picos technology) and 100ps (4 Quik E technology). This enables successive image sequences taken with a corresponding frame rate of up to 100 billion frames per second.
Individual controllable ICCD cameras
Each of the intensified CCD channels have high resolution image intensifiers and CCD sensors. The intensified CCD channels are fully individual and remotely controllable by state-of-the-art electronics.
Ideal optical design for framing cameras
The custom optical design offers up to 8 individual channels without compromising resolution, shading, or parallax. The mirror based image splitter design ensures a constant intensity division. This approach enables measurements from UV to NIR spectral region and enables measurements with total spectral sensitivity of the available photocathodes. As standard the XXRapidFrame provides spectral sensitivity from 380nm to 1300nm and can be extended by a UV enhanced image splitter down to 200nm.
Ultra high speed imaging
The ultra high shutter speed and a minimum of 10ps (4 Picos technology) and 100ps (4 Quik E technology) interframing delay enables photographs of ultra high speed phenomena such as lightning emergence. Hence, the multi channel framing camera XXRapidFrame offers the ultimate performance in ultra high speed imaging to scientists and engineers across all disciplines.

Highlights
Highlights of XXRapidFrame
-
Up to 8 channels
The multi-channel ICCD framing camera XXRapidFrame is individually configurable with up to 8 independent controllable intensified CCD channels. All framing cameras with four or less channels are equipped with fully functional, independent usable ICCD cameras. All intensified CCD channels within multi-channel framing cameras with six and more channels are not removable from the housing.
-
Up to 100 billion fps
The multi-channel framing camera is able to record up to eight images with a interframing delay down to 10ps. This enables successive image sequences taken with a corresponding frame rate of up to 100 billion frames per second.
-
High resolution images
High resolution image intensifiers feature optical resolution of >60lp/mm and provide in combination with 1360 x 1024pixel CCD sensors high resolution images and superior intensified imaging quality.
-
Down to 200ps gating
The XXRapidFrame is available based on the 4 Picos or 4 Quik E ICCD camera technology with the shortest gating time down to 0.2ns or 1.2ns, respectively.
-
UV enhanced system
The customized UV enhanced image splitter is developed and designed to provide the best optical resolution and imaging quality with the multi-channel ICCD camera, XXRapidFrame. This customized image splitter does provide spectral flat response over the UV, VIS and IR and splits the incoming light equally between the attached channels.
-
USB 2.0 remote control
The multi-channel intensified CCD framing camera can be completely operated remotely using the USB 2.0 connection.
-
Highly accurate timing
The individual intensified CCD channels are fully remotely controllable by state-of-the-art electronics. This allows highly accurate timing control of the exposure and delay time in steps of down to 10ps.
