4 Spec E software simplifies the control of ICCD cameras and data processing

ICCD cameras from Stanford Computer Optics are stand-alone solutions which can be operated and adjusted remotely via RS232, Camera Link or USB Connection. The 4 Spec E software serves as all in one solution to meet all requirements to the operation of an ultra-high speed ICCD camera system.

The basic appearance of the 4 Spec E contains the main toolbar, the data display and the control palette on the bottom of the window. All functions of the 4 Spec E software are available through the main toolbar. For the camera control and the live monitor separate windows appear which enables a concurrent control of the camera and post-processing of the recorded data. For more information read the detailed information on camera control interface.

Data post-processing with 4 Spec E is separated into the image editor and the spectroscopic analysis. For these different requirements the 4 Spec E software provides three data representation, these are images, curves, and catalogs. The data presentation can be chosen in the main toolbar with the buttons Img!, Crv! and Cat!, respectively. By choosing a certain data presentation the appearance of the 4 Spec E window will change. The main toolbar and the control palette on the bottom display give direct access to the frequently-used functions.

By chosing any image data the control palette provide direct access to the main functions of the image editor. These functions, like background or flat field correction, can intuitively applied form the control palette. For more information on the image editing functions and possibilities with 4 Spec E read the detailed description of the image editor.

For curve and catalog data 4 Spec E provide multiple functions for spectroscopic data analysis. These functions covering spectra extraction from raw data, curve handling, calibration, curve presentation and data export and storage. The funcitions and possibilities of the 4 Spec E as spectroscopy analysis software are discussed in the spectroscopic package section.
