Physics applications of ICCD cameras

The research field of physics is one of the broadest with many applications of state of the art ICCD cameras. ICCD cameras are on the one hand perfectly suited for low light imaging conditions as in Astronomy and Thomson scattering. On the other hand ICCD cameras provide ultra high speed photography capability with its ultra high speed shutter which enables images of the temporal progress the lightning phenomena.
