ICCD camera application methods
ICCD cameras with their unique characteristics and scopes are used in different experimental environments. The main feature of the ICCD camera is the high speed shutter which enables ultra high speed photography and time-resolved spectroscopy with temporal resolution of picoseconds. Intensified cameras are also applied for low light imaging solution due to the high signal amplification and low signal to noise ratio even without active cooling of the equipment. Finally, the ICCD framing camera is perfectly suited to image the progress of ultra high speed dynamics such as lightning phenomena.
